Abortion is good, suicide not, though … ’cause I say so.

I read a story some years ago regarding an old man — past ninety — whose wife died after more than sixty years of marriage or so. He then asked several (german) physicians for help to commit suicide, but was rejected. He then hanged himself.

Now, as a Christian I am opposed to suicide. Though this shows, again, what kind of losers atheists are when it comes to admitting that their morality is wholly subjective. How is it morally justified to allow every sixteen year old girl (not even an adult!) to “abort”, that is kill her children, but disallow adult men, even in old age!, to kill themselves?

It is not — but this is the clown world we are now forced to live in. A circus society ripe for destruction.

Colombian reactionary Gómez Dávila to the rescue:

“Civilizations are mortal” is the greatest comfort for someone alive today.

I would not live for even a fraction of a second if I stopped feeling the protection of God’s existence.

So that one does not live depressed among so many foolish opinions, it behooves one to remember at every moment that things obviously are what they are, no matter what the world’s opinion is.

The sight of the modern world is so repugnant that ethical imperatives are becoming certainties in the indicative for us.

More so than the immorality of the contemporary world, it is its growing ugliness that moves one to dream of a cloister.
