Why do I, or we, put up with such idiots? It is hard to escape vain
internet commentary of which there is a lot, especially if one is cut
off from other people; I do not know anyone with whom I could converse
about such matters.
Therefore, from time to time I do tune in to such channels or blogs.
Often enough, I leave rather upset and depressed because of the shallow
nature of the commenters one usually encounters there.

0:31 the most acomplished philosophers tend to be frail men without
virility or military experience so nah
(At around 0:31, Aarvoll was referencing Plato’s view that philosophers
should lead, the so-called “philosopher kings.”)
What does that have to do with being able to excel at statesmanship?
Nothing, actually; as if a muscular, impulsive imbecile would not lead
a state into ruin. Further, some of the greatest minds who wrote on
political theory certainly were not “warriors.” Carl Schmitt being one
good example — he was not even 160 cm tall (5'3)!
The commenter in question also had a rather feminine profile picture,
his nick name read Valyrian.
Granted, there were some comments not too upsetting; someone even
rightly questioned Aarvoll, writing he seems to be under the
influence of the current “stigma.”
On twitter, aarvoll wrote something along the lines of: we need
AI that …, to which I would reply: we do not need AI. To be fair,
he would ban it too. However, there is little reason to bow before
the feet of nerds, technology or even the modern world in general.
Another commenter also wrote that this or that some other commenter
wrote sounds like defeatism, which is an objection I have read
several times now. Though there is no reason to believe that pessimism
or defeatism is wrong; why do people believe this? Holy Scripture even
teaches that this world is under the reign of Satan. As great and
important Plato is, there is no reason to follow him; an objective law
giver is the only one we would have to follow. Were I not a Christian,
I would kill myself (as I wrote a dozen times now.)
No to mention that if imbeciles like pindanetel above would
have read the Bible, he should have been aware of the example of
Saul who was ultimately rejected by God (1 Samuel 16:7) despite his
appearance.
Ever-growing list of stupidities Aarvoll’s (Eric Orwoll) and internet commenters in general torture us with.

Recent example: a video by Aarvoll titled The Alignment Problem in AI and Politics. A commenter (at the bottom of the page, granted) wrote this drivel:

Not to mention that if such people are to live at Aarvoll’s place, I would not have any interest anyway to move there.
More gómezdávilian wisdom absolutely necessary during these times of vulgarity, decadence, general stupidity:
