Born in 1966, he is almost a boomer still, though he certainly grew up in a healthier society than we younger ones. Yet, he is arrogant, defending PUA and other decadent trash. He most likely does not even have that high an IQ. His hero Feynman (…) had an IQ of 125. However, given that Hsu believes that IQ alone turns you into a genius, which even Vox Day rejects, his thinking ability is rather limited. Though to be honest, Hsu put genius into quotes, so he knows it’s nonsense. Though maybe not, because he even claims that genetically-engineered “humans” could have IQs of 1000 (sic) and higher, showing that he doesn’t understand what IQ means.

He may be nothing more than a number cruncher, a calculator in flesh. Like Feynman, whom he called his … hero …

This will only result in a world even more unlivable, more focussed on economic competition and warfare, with intelligence being used for inventing more efficient machines to kill.

Don Colacho was put off already:

The so highly acclaimed ‘dominion of man over nature’ turned out to be merely an enormous capability to kill.

Man no longer knows how to invent anything that does not serve to kill better or to make the world a little more vulgar.

A greater capacity for killing is the criterion of “progress” between two peoples or two epochs.

The most recent generations are particularly boring: believing in effect that they invented violence and sex, they copulate doctrinairely and doctrinairely kill.

Also, these guys—Musk, Hsu—who are spreading this breeder rhetoric are not wage slaves, they have status and money, they don’t need to work in a slaughterhouse. The society they help design, nay, lust after, is one I would not even want to live in if they paid me for it. This is horrible enough.

It’s nonsense anyway, since you needed money in the past to marry, and only in marriage were you allowed to have intercourse. Even if the unmarried got nagged, terms like old spinster do not exist without reason. At the end of the 17th century, 23% of men and women between ages 40-44 remained unmarried.

In this interview, Hsu also seemed to claim that he doesn’t know of a state that successfully raised the birth rate, which just shows how badly-read nerd Hsu—who thinks that every parent wants a Steve Urkel as child—is: the GDR, the German Democratic Republic, raised the birth rate of female students, Volkmar Weiss wrote about this. They attended lectures at university with their baby strollers.

There is even a two hour (!) interview with him where he lets the cat out of the bag right at the beginning: that Feynman was his hero! And then they talk about … game, so-called pick-up artist dung. So he takes this seriously, even saying that back in the day, men and women had to meet in bars. As if using apps is an improvement and not terror, destruction, vulgar, sad. Can’t he die?

Which is a lie, since back in the day it was not allowed to “hit” on women, you had to announce it if you wanted to court a woman – if you had permission of her father, whom you had to ask first.

Dating never existed, and this satanic sex talk was shunned in the past, as Chesterton noted.

This is a topic no one talked about anyway in the past, though it does not surprise me in Hsu’s case, given that he was also early into body building, so he is prole through and through.

He further said that a female trainer though his leg was swollen, though it was just his “well-developed” quadriceps. Showing that women don’t care much about this junk, unlike what all those “hit the gym” idiots are trying to tell you. There is no “selection’ anyway, otherwise I would have been spared having to live this awful, horrible life I never asked for in the first place. Body building is just more hedonism and narcissism, what else.

He also shows his lack of historical knowledge by believing that the Greeks and Romans were body builders … You have to be really awfully read to believe this. There is no single sculpture that looks as ridiculous as the body of, say, Schwarzenegger. Further, Hsu claims that World War II was fought by men 5’8 to 5’10, not understanding that height did not magically increase, nor does he know that he is talking about a new generation of warfare here. Further, Frederick William I of Prussia was known for his Potsdam Giants.

The same goes for the 3rd SS Panzer Division “Totenkopf”, which preferably recruited tall men, with men up to six feet and nine inches (6’9) in height. The mass destruction and battles of the 20th century never existed before anyway.

Hsu is awfully prole and uneducated, yet decides about life and death! Maybe instead of wasting time in the gym—starting in the eighties already!—he should have read some books. He is a physics nerd, nothing more. Not even a Sheldon Cooper!

Not to mention that this is dysgenic. How likely is it to meet someone in a bar who is not at odds with the interests of those with rather high intelligence when it comes to interests? To quote Nils M. Holm:

Given how broken most marriages nowadays are, and how children often grow up in sub-optimal environments, maybe teach them how to lead a marriage? How to be a husband and father? You can’t! This would be way too complicated. You are not much more than a horny imbecile who likes cheating on his wife. That is all. You deserve to be burnt at the stake.

Feynman apparently told him that he has a nice smile …! His is the typical “predator smile” of the politician, and there even exists a photo of Hsu with Obama …

Further, the way he talks about “brute forcing” the problems of biology with AI and being glad to live during our times where this is possible, adding how you can fertilize eggs in a dish easily is just disgusting.

Certainly not a Christian. Hsu is an atheist with the usual moral failings that go with it. He sees this life as a game, and has no qualms about playing God with life, in the end even destroying it (IVF).

Given how he talks about World War II, ignoring the horrific deaths people had to die, he is without a doubt someone who lacks empathy.

They even think we’re in for, and I quote, some fun times because of IVF. How is this nightmarish society that is taking place “fun”? Only if you’re a psychopath.

This talk about enhancing intelligence and “choosing” traits is cheesy anyway. Will they also want to define a child’s breast or penis size? This is no longer about simply wanting to make sure no one suffers like Joseph Merrick, the “Elephant Man”, it’s turning man into a product, breeding better wage slaves. Sickos. What else to say about this?

Hsu and his hero Feynman, that loser, are psychopaths, though, at least they are narcissists who don’t actually need people, they only use them to satisfy their wicked lusts. That is all. “It’s a numbers game”, Feynman told him. No, it never was, you imbeciles. This is how a psychopath looks at people. Why not just go to a brothel then? If neither love nor feeling a connection with someone is important, just “hooking up” …?

Even though he is at best a fake American—who has to go back—, he imbibed that shallow and superficial mindset so common over there to a great degree.

From the four or so videos I checked, with titles such as Steve Hsu on the Future of Humanity and other pompous nonsense, not a single one—checking the transcript—contained the word crminial or suicide. So he is really far, very far removed from reality. Even in a video about the genetic basis of intelligence, criminality is not mentioned except in an analogy.

Worse, in a video about high IQ outliers, he goes on about Bezos and that he was honest enough to admit that he could not continue a degree in physics because of quantum physics being too hard for him. The problem is, Feynman had an IQ of 125 and Hsu knows it, so Feynman was not an outlier IQ-wise. We know that at Oxford or Cambridge, the highest IQ among all, including professors, was just 139! So they wouldn’t even be allowed to join the Triple Nine Society, of which Nils M. Holm is a member. Whom I’m quoting now from his book “Bridging the Gap. The Reconciliation of Intelligence and Culture”:

“Not all skills are typically developed to the same degree, so the perceived resistance may differ in different areas. One person I know has a weakness in mathematical thinking, which in their case means that they score only 1.5σ in math tests, but 3σ to 4σ in other tests. They recognize their weakness very distinctively. Whenever they try to solve a mathematical problem it feels like ‘‘wading through molasses’’ to them. Interestingly, they score very high in logical thinking when it is unrelated to mathematics.”

Hsu is a physicist, he doesn’t have much knowledge about the inner workings of IQ tests. Chris Langan, whom he doesn’t even mention in the video about outliers ("The Pressure to Conform is Enormous": Steve Hsu on Affirmative Action, Assimilation, and IQ Outliers).

Worse, his idea of assimilation is wearing a mask! Which further means that he buys into the propaganda! This stuff was forced on the whole world, what is he talking about? Wearing a mask, for him, shows “the power of assimilation”?

How stupid can you be?

Either way, and back to his fear of underpopulation, which is just ridiculous given that he wants expanded lifespans of two or even three hured years: people are born because of horny imbeciles like Hsu and Feynman. My father wasn’t any better. A bunch of crooks and shysters, awful idiots I would sentence to death and be done with their vulgarity.

The West lies in shambles anyway, we are being overrun by migrants, sexual promiscuity the Hsus joke about is destroying us more and more. He even accepts that his Frankenstein experiments could also lead to more suffering, quote: “[t]he alternative would be inequality of a kind never before experienced in human history.”

Well, to paraphrase Vox Day, who is certainly smarter than Hsu: forget Mars. We can be glad if we still have flush toilets once this is over.

These guys are monsters. Hsu is a monster. I hope you choke to death on your lust and vulgarity.

In this interview, Hsu talks about elites making use of genetic engineering and becoming tall, beautiful, super intelligent and so on. Says Hsu:

So there could be downsides, like imagine you become so smart, that you can appreciate the beauty of category theory, and quantum gravity. And you want to spend the rest of your life trying to think about those things and develop those things, which are the most beautiful creations of the human mind, at the expense of having lots of kids and a trillion dollar company. Academics might think it’s one of the best things to be smart, but I’m not sure that it is.

Why even think you ought to have lots of kids or a trillion dollar company – with the latter being vulgar and everything but a “beautiful creation”?

Also, quantum gravity is not a “creation” of the human mind, as it is simply man’s attempt at understanding God’s creation. You cannot create physics the same way you create a work of art.

It is subjective anyway to claim that these are the most beautiful creations of the human mind. It seems to me that Hsu has huge ego issues himself and wants to somehow be a kind of “gold standard” regarding such matters. Pretty awful and disgusting.

Further, when he says:

In the long run, we could improve humanity. People in the future could on average be smarter, much longer lived, nicer, more cooperative, lower rates of mental illness. I think this will be within our grasp technologically in the near future. I don’t know if society will organize itself to achieve these things. […]

Now, while I am not against eugenics per se, creeps like Hsu have no business tinkering with such ideas and technology. “[N]icer”, “more cooperative”, “much longer lived” – who cares? That’s wholly subjective. This is just transhumanist hogwash, verging on evil. Certainly, such features are a completely different category compared to mental illness.

Improving humanity, bettering the world are rather satanic goals anyway, since Christians know that the Prince of this world is Satan.

He doesn’t know if society will organize itself etc.: because he is an idiot who is unable to see the writing on the wall. As Vox Day once wrote, we can be glad if flush toilets still exist and function after this chaos is over. Hsu supports HBD, so he is in favor of multiculturalism; worse, he is a Fake American himself. He is absolutely clueless.

Another quote:

Further, most children are accidents; our existence is the result of horniness, that is all, as Schopenhauer wrote. There is no great selection going on here, rather the opposite. This also goes for men and women and whom they “choose”, or, in today’s decadent society: hook up with. Which may produce results worse even than those of the past, I guess.

Especially thinking about the absence of genius today compared to the times of our “backwards” ancestors …

And as Nils M. Holm writes, people with IQs above 145 are usually suffering a lot in our society. You would have to increase the number of such people to an extreme degree for this to be alleviated. I would certainly end my life, too, were I not a Christian.

Another tacky and crass remark by Hsu, showing that he is kind of a nerd obsessed with Star Trek and the like:

One can imagine a future where the edited/selected people are tall, beautiful, athletic, and live to be 200 years old—at dinner they’re discussing convex optimization of objective functions in complexified tensor spaces, while the server has no hope of ever understanding their discussion no matter how hard they study.

Who cares? Many geniuses would not have understood it. It sounds extremely nerdy, too. Hsu acts as if Beethoven and Wagner, Shakespeare and Goethe, Pascal and Kierkegaard were idiots creating works of genius not worthy of consideration.

A fitting escolio by our dear reactionary friend Don Colacho describes this Hsu guy quite well:

A high “intelligence quotient” is indication of distinguished mediocrity.

(Though I don’t even know how high his IQ is; maybe not that high either, given that his hero Feynman had an IQ of 125 or so …)

One last example that Hsu is rather off the mark here: he accepts what Vox Day calls TENS:

Maybe the universe appears empty, because it usually takes a very long time to evolve anything. Maybe it only occurred once out of a hundred trillion planets or something. just extremely lucky: stick to physics, Professor Hsu. You’re just showing how sloppy your thinking is with such remarks. Were soldiers dying on the battlefield of World War I and II lucky? Or the victims of Hiroshima? Sounds kind of like a psychopath if he really believes so.

To quote one of the deepest thinkers of the 20th century – Nicolás Gómez Dávila:

A philosophy that avoids the problem of evil is a fairy tale for gullible children.

It did not evolve out of nothing, and a creation needs a Creator. It’s that simple. It’s the usual, trite sci-fi nonsense modern scientists are infested with. Unlike the older generation, given that Schroedinger, Einstein, Heisenberg and so on still read thinkers of note – Heisenberg read Plato in the original Greek; Schroedinger—fluent in Latin and Greek, too—read Schopenhauer and the Upanishads; Einstein was influenced by Spinoza.

This changed with Hsu’s—Risum teneatis amici! Do not laugh, friends!—hero Feynman, who rejected philosophy completely. I already quoted Christopher Langan, who is way smarter than Hsu, who called him a meat and potatoes guy.

I don’t like life anyway and am glad when I’m dead. If God and eternity did not exist, it would all be meaningless anyway. Hsu wouldn’t even notice if someone killed him while asleep – so why bother, Hsu being an atheist? We could also nuke the whole planet and be done with it.
